Tulum, the site of a pre-Columbian Mayan city, draws visitors to
archeological ruins, but the Mexican Caribbean coastline – the Riviera
Maya – offers spectacular snorkeling opportunities as well. Soliman
Bay’s white sand beaches are a gateway to snorkeling sites, where you’ll
find the colorful fish are rivaled by the vibrantly colored coral reef
formations. Starfish, urchins and manta rays are common sights for
intrepid snorkelers. Just north of Soliman Bay is Yalku – one of the
best snorkeling spots in the region. This is a great place to spot
Loggerhead turtles. |
