St. Maarten Snorkeling

Surrounded on all sides by coral reefs, St. Maarten offers excellent snorkeling opportunities from both the shore and by boat. Snorkelers on St. Maarten are likely to see schools of grunts, parrotfish and surgeonfish swimming in the crystal waters. Sea Turtles are also a frequent guest of St. Maarten (particularly on the southern and eastern sides of the island), with green turtles, hawksbill, loggerhead and leatherback among the species you may see.  Some of the more popular areas for snorkeling on St. Maarten include Dawn Beach, Cay Bay, Mullet Beach, Lay Bay and Simpson Bay.

Snorkeling can be a dangerous activity - never snorkel alone & check local conditions before you hit the water.
