The
calm waters of the islands that comprise Mazatlan are inviting to
snorkelers. Deer Island is the most popular Mazatlan snorkeling
locations and is served by many local snorkeling tour operators. Stone
Island and tiny Goat Island are the other snorkeling destinations in the
area. The waters of Mazatlan are calm and relatively clear, especially
the waters around the ecological reserve islands opposite Camarón Sabalo
Beach. Sábalo Beach is one of the most popular beaches for watersports
of all kinds, including snorkeling. Other Mazatlan beaches worth
checking out for snorkeling include the Cerritos Beach, Los Pinos Beach
and Norte Beach.
