Hanauma Bay nature preserve provides
some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii. After years of neglect (the park
previously allowed more than 3,000,000 visitors annually!) the city and
county of Honolulu created a plan that significantly improved facilities
and limited the number of visitors. The preserve offers a huge white
sand beach, clear water, reefs and an abundance of marine life.
Make sure to arrive early -the park will turn you away if the parking
lots are full.
Snorkeling
equipment is available to rent at the park.
