There is a beach in the province of Holguin (Cuba) called Playa Costa
Verde (Green Coast Beach) or Playa Pesquero (Fisherman Beach). There are several resorts (mostly 3.5 to 4 star) right on the beach, most of them have Costa Verde in their name.
Swim 200 meters out from the middle of the beach and you are in rich coral reef. Swim 300 meters along the lush reef, and there is coral cliff that
starts in about 25 feet of water and dramatically drops down to a white
sand bottom of about 60 feet of water. Great visibility, incredible diversity (I have seen morays, lionfish
and many other species) await you just a 3 minute swim out from you
resort.
Incredible.
