Beneath the Sea Diving Expo – Photos and More
At the end of March I took a short drive to Secaucus, NJ for the largest consumer dive show in the United States – Beneath the Sea. While we have been to the DEMA show a number of times, this was our first time at Beneath the Sea. The show featured over 100 exhibitors (maybe even 200, I’m bad at math…) promoting everything from dive vacations to different locations around the world (from North Carolina to Indonesia) to conservation organizations and companies selling Jellyfish sting relief gels. The show was well attended, but I couldn’t help notice the lack of young faces walking the floor. While diving has always skewed a bit older, the number of attendees under 35 seemed pretty low. Hopefully this is just because it was a Sunday morning…
