Monday, February 9th, 2009

Here is a great story about  freshwater snorkeling with Spawning Salmon in British Columbia. Head to the Campbell River, throw on a wet suite and float 6 miles – above thousands of colorful Salmon who have come upstream from the Ocean to spawn (and then to die).

Sounds like an incredible experience – check out the entire article here.

Want to Go Snorkeling With Sharks?

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Most people know that snorkeling with stingrays is an activity that can be done in a lot of places around the world – but how about snorkeling with sharks? Kristen from KristensRaw.com just got back from her honeymoon on the island of Moorea, where she went snorkeling with sharks – on purpose!

The excursion boat threw out a long rope which we all grabbed hold of in the ocean and watched while the crew threw out chunks of fish for the black-tipped reef sharks to eat.

She sent along some cool pictures of the snorkeling excursion with stingrays and black tip sharks up to 6ft in length.
