In Palm Beach, Florida, the most popular spots for snorkeling can be found in the MacArthur Beach State Park, located at 10900 Jack Nicklaus Dr, North Palm
Beach, on Singer Island about half-way between the part of Palm Beach
and Jupiter Inlet. The park is open from 8am until sundown 365 days a
year. The entrance fee is $5.00 per vehicle.
Once you cross the
boardwalk over the lagoon, there is a worm rock reef just off-shore.
About 200 yds north of the stairs to the beach and 50 yds offshore is a
large rock formation where you can find an abundance of small tropical
fish.
The formation is visible from shore at low tide. Other sea
creatures found here are sea turtles, eels, stingrays and reef squid.
Guided tours of the reef are usually held on Saturday mornings in the
summer, when the visibility tends to be the best.
